Rhyder Clash Plumbing & Heating Ltd is the controller of your personal information. We’re a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14334239), at 88 Winchester Road, Whitchurch, Hampshire RG28 7HP.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry
When you use the "Request a free quote" or "Book a free survey" form, or call or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode and what you tell us about the job. We use this to reply to you, arrange a visit and give you a quote. Our lawful basis is that you’ve asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract with us.
When we do work for you
We keep your name, address, contact details, details of the work, photos taken on site (which may show the inside of your home), quotes and invoices. We use these to do the work, to honour guarantees and warranties, and to keep the records the law requires, such as gas safety records and records for tax. Our lawful bases are the contract with you and our legal obligations.
When you visit this website
Like most websites, our server records the address of each page requested, the time, your IP address and your browser type. We use these logs to keep the website secure and to fix faults. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We count visits with Umami, which doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal information. Our cookie policy explains the cookies the website uses.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, and as long as the law requires.

Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to keep it safe and use it only for us:
- Amazon Web Services hosts this website, stores its data and photos, and sends its emails, in the UK (London).
- Cloudflare protects the website and delivers it quickly.
- Cybot (Cookiebot) asks for, and records, your cookie choices.
- Umami counts visits to the website, without cookies or personal information.
- Google Workspace holds our email.
We also share information when the law requires it, for example with HMRC, or with Gas Safe or OFTEC when we register work.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to have it given to you in a form you can take elsewhere. To ask, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
